We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs that power Jit’s open security platform.
• Develop serverless architectures on AWS, focusing on reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with product and security teams to translate requirements into clean, effective technical solutions.
• Own delivery end-to-end: architecture, implementation, automated testing, CI/CD, and production monitoring.
  
• Champion best practices around code quality, documentation, observability, and security-by-design.
• Contribute to technical discussions and share knowledge with teammates on backend architecture, cloud infrastructure, and development best practices.

What are we looking for?

• 4+ years of experience as a backend software engineer building production systems.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or Go, with a strong focus on clean, maintainable code.
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS) and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience designing API-driven and event-driven systems.
• Strong familiarity with AI development assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) and active usage in day-to-day development workflows.
• Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

Advantage:

• ‍‍Experience working on fully serverless systems in production.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring in production environments.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (e.g., React, basic frontend architecture) — even if backend is your core focus.
